So, today was the first week weigh in for my office's Biggest Loser Contest. Sunday and Monday I was a bit panicky because my scale at home did not show a weight loss, but a gain! The old me would have done something drastic to fix it (like starve myself or "cleansing") However, I reminded myself that I have been diligent in my exercise and my eating and to keep going with my program. The only thing I did different was to change my protein to fish and chicken and I had 2 carefully measured salads (which were yummy!).
So this morning when I stepped on the scale it shown a .5 weight loss. On impulse I stepped on it again and guess what? A big weight gain. Yep, it is time for a new battery or scale.
I was so nervous when I weighed in because I did not know what to expect. However, my good efforts were rewarded with a 2.4 pound loss. (Oh, you know I stepped on it twice to test the accuracy of the scale.)
While I know there will be times when the scale will not budge and even show a gain, it just felt plain good for this day not too be one of those times.
