Fitness test

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Session 2 with my personal trainer was even earlier than last time, and this time it was my fitness test. Some things I did surprisingly well on, some things surprisingly poor, and some were just as I expected.

Push ups - 1 full, 10 half (he only counted the halves because I'm such a noob, and 1 is pathetic)
Goblet squats - 11
Pull-ups with TRX - 14 (I actually DO have some upper body strength!)
Barbell lifts - 5. With help. (Or not...)
Down-ups (easy version of burpees) - 10 in 1 minute
Dead lift - 15
Bar hang - 1 minute (seriously surprised by this one!)
Wall sit - 45 seconds
Plank - 46 seconds (Yaaas!)

And one other thing that I can't think of right now because I was doing all that at 6.30 this morning and I'm knackered.

That's amazing! I would be huffing and puffing after the first minute of exercise... Congrats Chica!

emoticon So proud of you.....hey, I'm right where you are at in the push up dept. Don't hate on yourself, just enjoy the progress you make! 10 half pushups are hard too.

Keep at it!

Just reading this built up all the lactic acid in my muscles! Good for you, though! I don't think I would have done as well (heck, I know I wouldn't have!) At least you can see improvement and progress!

Sounds like now you have a benchmark to start from. It would be interesting to compare these numbers to a future date.

Wow! Good stuff! The great thing about this is that it's only your starting point. Just wait a few weeks until you look at this and smile to see how far you've come.
