Well, my chest congestion has come back, or never really fully left. I've noticed it's gotten worse. I've had to start using Mucinex and albuterol nebulizers again, along with cough drops. I finally called my doctor, and we are trying another prednisone treatment as well. I might have a chronic bronchitis thing going on. I remember when I was a freshman in college, I was coughing for six months with bronchitis. I hope this clears up a little faster than that. I think I'm in my seventh or eighth week of this garbage.
So my exercise streak came to an end again, after about day nine or ten of walking. I'm trying to heal up again. For the most part, my eating is really good. I've even started tracking my meals again when I have the time. I bought a kitchen scale and discovered that I am actually taking in less food at some meals than I thought. The cans of salmon that say 6 oz only actually have 4.5-5 oz of actual salmon in them. I use Greek yogurt a lot as a replacement for mayo, and I am eating tons of veggies still. I still allow myself some fun meals. Hubby and I went on a date to a New Orleans style restaurant on Saturday. We didn't get dessert, but we split a wonderful appetizer and shared our main meals to experience lots of different flavors. It was wonderful! No low cal, low carb on that table, but YUM!!! We had Boudin balls a la mer, steak and shrimp with jumlalya, and scallops Lafayette. My favorite were the Boudin balls a la mer. The sauce was incredible!
I hope everyone out there is feeling ok this long, cold winter. Maybe as temps warm up, I'll show more improvement and can resume my active lifestyle again. Well, I'm actually always active. I just can't seem to do my exercising now with this darn congestion.
