So tomorrow is my 33rd birthday and since my last birthday, I haven't lost any weight... in fact, I've gained a couple of pounds. Back in 2010, I had been down to my lowest weight of about 125 pounds because I ended up in the ICU for 5 days from getting Toxic Shock Syndrome. And yes, it still happens the way girls are warned about. Since then, I've put on around 25 pounds but most of that was in 2011. I've gotten engaged and as of tomorrow, it'll be 2 years and still no wedding date planned.
To help me get in shape, I've signed up to run a 5k at King's Island on April 27th. My original goal was to run it without stopping but right now I'm only up to running about a quarter mile at a time. I'm not giving up on the goal, but I'll still be proud just to finish it. I am running it with my fiance.
I signed up this past weekend for a biggest loser challenge where every pound that is lost will give me an entry for a hot tub. I got to meet Conda and she was really nice. I didn't get to talk to her much but would have loved to pick her brain a bit. The weigh-in is May 5th and Jeremy, her brother will be there. I'm hoping to lose a couple of pounds at least, would be nice to lose at least 1 a week and continue with that afterwards.
Now I just need to get up, make some lunch, get some cleaning done around the house, and work on some homework. Should be graduating in May with a graduate degree if I can just get a couple of more classes finished. Then off to look for a job!
