Delightful discovery.

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Today I discovered a healthy, mock sour cream which I have missed.

1 tub low fat cottage cheese.
2 garlic cloves (if you like garlic)
1Tablespoon of lemon juice

BLEND.....as close as sour cream as you'll ever get. I spread it over my cauliflower for lunch and it was WONDERFUL.

Today I had to meet a lady who I study the bible with. We have not seen each other for just over a month for various reasons. She sat in a coffee shop and didn't recognize me initially. I WAS SUPER THRILLED. I have lost 7.1kgs since she has seen me and I've toned up a lot since boot camp. It was delightful seeing her expression.

Now, next one to delight is my son who is on the rig, who also has not seen me for 30 days.
He may/may not notice my weight loss....purely because his girlfriends mom passed away this morning from cancer. Hes mind might be preoccupied.

This is where he works...stuck out in the middle of the sea. It's driving him crazy that he was on the rig on duty when her brother died from a heart attack only 2 months ago...and now his on duty again when her beloved mother died this morning. I've suggested he check if he can get compassionate leave, but I dont know their position on the fact that she only has girlfriend status and not fiance or wife?? One can only ask! Sometimes the supervisors have suffered recently and it motivates them to have fellow feeling, sometimes not.

I hope he gets leave --it would be very stressful --I know she must want him with her..

That is rough indeed. Hope they will work with him. I love my sour cream, its only 15 calories for 2 tbs so always use it on my baked potatoeschili and the like emoticon emoticon on the weight loss and it's visibility.

I'm an avid garlic lover, even grow all my own. The variety I love is called Russian Red...it's a little spicy, but that's the way DH and I love it.
I even mix it with low fat mayo and use it on my sandwiches and salads.
I'm going to try it your way and thin it a little and drizzle on my greens.
I'm sorry about the losses you mentioned....hugs and prayers for them all.

Wow, now that is a fantastic weight loss. Your son's girlfriend has had a very rough patch, poor soul. I already use cottage cheese instead of sour crem for baked potatos, it is delicious that way.
