Spring

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.”
¯ Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

Oh yes people, busy, busy upset people never seeing the beauty in a beautiful Spring day. It always amazes me how he saw things with an eye on both sides of life. Direct in writing and direct in living.
Thanks for the sharing...life is truly what we make it!

Hmmmm....interesting quote. I love Ernest Hemingway's writing. Can't necessarily agree w/his philosophy, though, becasue we have to look to OURSELVES for happiness. However, that said, it's also part of our nature to be influenced by who we surround ourselves with . . . positive or negative. Better the positive influences then negative. The positive people in our lives feeds our heart and soul!

HUGS and thanks for sharing this thought provoking quote.
