I admit it, Zumba is fun.
I resisted it. I mean that music is NOT the kind of music i listen to. I'm not a club kid and I've never been, take me to a punk rock or good indie rock show and I'm a happy happy gal, as long as it's good.
But there's something about Zumba that's just kind of infectious, I definitely feel a lil silly but it's kind of fun feeling silly. It's fun to shake your money maker while shimmying up a storm. Stomping around while swirling those hips, there's just something about it.
Anyway i'm incorporating it as my cardio in my own homwgrown circuit training plan.
5 minutes zuma, followed by 5 minutes of weight traing and body weight exercises like push ups, crunches, plank, presses, etc. But no resting in between at all, go right from one into the next.
(Oh the plank is a killer!)
We did 45 minutes of that today and it took me over 15 minutes for my body to get back to its resting state and I was sweating buckets. A good workout all in all and I look forward to doing it again.
About an hour afterward i realized that I did not count my pushups for the pushup challenge, so the mat came out and i did them even though my arms felt like they was going to explode!
