So it isn't the shin splints keeping me from jogging right now. It is my knee. I injured it years ago. Now when I do things that are "high impact" it swells and gets stiff. I am trying ice and elevation, but I still have trouble with jogging and squatting and bending it for things like stairs.
I have an acupuncture appointment scheduled for Friday. Maybe this is something we can work on? It has worked wonders for several other things, so maybe on my knee as well.
On the work front, we are on our break week in between quarters, which would mean I have an easier time getting to the gym, but today I needed to rest my knee. I have a mile long to do list and I am slowly chipping away at it.
I have also started using herbalife shakes this week. I decided to use the shakes every day as recommended for this month. I am not making ANY progress and it is getting frustrating. After a month my plan is to use them for breakfast and when I need a quick lunch. They are pretty tasty shakes and I can do a lot with them with out adding a ton of calories. My issues with the shakes I was making was needing to mix them with almond milk rather than water. They just weren't the right texture for me. I'm digging these more.
Tues and Wed I have "lunch meetings" with various work people. Please think happy supportive thoughts for me so I can order something healthy and not the waffle fries and seasoned sour cream.
