Well, 2013 hasn't started the way I planned as far as healthy eating and consistent exercise go. I've been staying between 150-157, which is too wide of a range for my comfort, especially when I'm hoping to reach 139(ish) at some point this year!
My husband and I recently spent a long weekend in Dallas during his spring break, and we ate so poorly! I never intended to go on vacation and be perfect, but that doesn't mean that I didn't feel guilty afterwards!
But shortly after I got back from vacation, some of my before and "after" photos were featured on SLIMKATIE's blog, runsforcookies.com. There were so many positive comments -- and I gained many friends on here in the past few days. All of the positive feedback is just what I needed to get motivated again!
In addition to receiving some much needed support, I am also very happy that warmer weather will be here soon. I first intended to complete a half-marathon the first part of this year, but I just couldn't get motivated with the cold weather. I know it sounds crazy, but I'd much run in 80ish degree temperatures after sundown during the summer. I'll start running regularly again soon, and I'll begin my marathon training in late September. I still intend running a half-marathon in 2013!
Hopefully I'll be more active around these parts. Interacting on SparkPeople is definitely great motivator that I *NEED* to finish my journey strong!
