Need Help with a HOSTAGE Situation ?

Monday, March 25, 2013

Sometimes my tastebuds like to rule. They play Team Tag with my Cravings. It's such a tough battle to win. Two against one. That is just So WRONG.

It feels Like I am being held Hostage by my tastebuds and cravings? Which will Win?

Ever Crave Sugar?

Only to have it trigger a Salt Craving?

Which leads to Pepsi Craving?

And then a Pizza Craving?

Followed by a Chocolate Craving?

Well there are reasons we crave foods. It seems they manufacture foods to trick our brain into wanting them. Like Cocaine or some other heavy addiction. Yikes. Those MEANIES (&(&(*&%^%.

Every have those days you feel like your being held HOSTAGE by your tastebuds and cravings?

No one comes to pay the RANSOM?

I found a TRICK to spank my tastebuds, discipline them into being on my team.

It's really easy to do. It just requires a JUICER.

I use the Sampson Juicer when I want to juice Wheat Grass and make just a couple of quarts of juice to last the day.

My all time favorite juice tastes like a Tropical Suprise !

Pineapple, apples, red grapes, bell pepper, 4 handfuls of spinach and wheat grass juice. It has a sweet tropical taste. There is no way I would eat as many portions of fruits and vegies cooked or fresh if it wasn't for juicing.

When I want to make a lot for my husband and I, I use the Breville Juicer as it is faster. It doesnt' make wheat grass juice though, but it eats apples whole.

My most frequent juice we drink is: Carrots, beets, parsley, cilantro, garlic, ginger, carrots, apples, bell pepper juice.

When I drink juice it takes away the cravings for all the junk food.

It can be made in so many different flavors.

Another good combo, that replaces my lemonaide is:

Apples, lemon, and spinach or wheat grass. The apples are sweet and a slice of fresh lemon makes it taste like lemonaide. No bad ingredients in it.

FYI Brussel Sprout juice taste bad, REAL BAD, Nasty. Don't do it. Same thing for cabbage, I know they say it's good, but I don't like it juiced.

When I drink juice, which I have for about 4 months - I feel perkier. It gives me energy. It makes my head feel clearer.

Just saying if you want to beat those cravings - Try Juicing !!!

I would rather give in to JUICING than a bad, out-of-control horriendous, break you diet bing craving party.

We CAN do it. Be Strong, Be Wise.

Create a NEW you !!!

Wow, is that true, about your skin replacing itself every 35 days, that is really something! Who woulda knew! So if I eat really healthy and well, I should start seeing a difference in a little over a month!

I like the cabbage juice in with the other flavors. emoticon I also LOVE cabbage. I can not like cucumber juiced no matter how hard I try. If it is in there I don't want to drink it. I love celery added to the juices also which is funny because I do not care much for raw celery. emoticon

Love our new are right once you start doing the juicing, you fancy that more than the bad stuff! Still a work in progress, but the junk food is not in our house very much anymore. Thanks for the tips on the different types of food to juice together. I don't think I would like cabbage or Brussel sprouts either! emoticon emoticon

Sounds like you are low in leptins. These enzymes help talk to the body to say, "Stop i have had enough". I stopping eating any sugar high fructose corn syrup and dextrose in food and meds and it went away for me. Is it getting on the wagon time?

Ok, I am with you. I have tried even using fish smoothies and ya know what? Once they came out awesome with potato and leek. and lots of pepper.
The other times, not so good. I figured it was really soup that worked. and it had to be warm. I was just so sick of berries and chocolate.

i wonder if brussel sprouts smoothie could work with fresh ginger, cilantro and tamari. and lots of pepper.

Personally I don't juice anything. I need to chew. I like my calories to fight back when I consume them.

    I love your blog.
I know you say cabbage juice is nasty, but I actually like it. I do cabbage, pineapple, cucumber and lemon. It's actually my favorite juice. Try it, you just might like it.
Thanks for the recipes.

Your blog is very well done -- visually exciting and interesting. Yet I don't think juicing is for me. Maybe back before I lost the weight it would have helped me, but I'm not sure. I love all the fiber and goodness of the whole fruits and veggies. I'm trying to cut back some from my 12-14 servings per day. To each his own!!

Thank you for posting this!! I agree for the juicing. I have a Brevile juicer as well and you are so right about the juice takes craving out. It's so true. I've been drinking juice long time and every morning I am making smoothie for my breakfast. I only eats solid food breakfast in the weekend and it has working for me. I feel more energized. Yes, like a bunny. (*^^*).
Just lately, stating to use more of my ninja blender instead of juicer but I know, I am getting lots of nutrients. Loves juice and smoothies!!

I really like that last one. I'll have to remember it whenever I'm giving into a craving or thinking of doing so. I don't own a juicer, but maybe just eating more freggies would help the cravings. Thanks for the advice. Keep up the amazing work!
