Today's workout was....haha, nothing. My legs are still smoked. My friend and I both agree that this might be in the top 5 for "most sore we have ever been." I look ridiculous when I go up and down stairs and I definitely took the elevator up just one level today.
I'm back on the clean eating train today. It was supposed to be yesterday, but last night ended up being date night/celebration for the end of my husband's political career (he's been very involved in local politics since we met and held a party position that kept him pretty busy but he did not run for reelection this weekend). We went to a great restaurant (I had bison NY strip steak and brussels sprouts, with wine) and ended up splurging on dessert (chocolate cake with banana foam and peanuts) and then going out for some fancy cocktails. I'm going to try and avoid alcohol for the next two months (until school is over/CF Regionals) and eat clean, except for one cheat meal on the weekend.
Today I had:
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with spinach
Snack: Almonds, coffee
Lunch: Salmon, cabbage, carrots
Snack: Paleo date bar
Dinner: Turkey lettuce cups with veggie toppings
I would love to go to CF tomorrow, but we'll see how I feel! Luckily there is also yoga tomorrow night if I don't feel up to a regular WOD. I was going to do 13.4 on Wednesday night because I'm supposed to go to my in-law's for Easter on Saturday, but with my legs as sore as they are right now, it's hard to imagine doing an Open WOD in two days. Even if I feel better, it would be nice to be able to walk normally for at least one day before I hit it hard again ;)
