Just wanted to drop by for a quick update. It's late and I should be in bed but I'll try and keep this short :)
Here's what's been happening this past week:
- My mom and my sister surprised me with a trip to Italy! I didn't even know I was going until a week ago and I've been so excited just thinking about it. I've spent the past few days packing (I HATE PACKING, I'm the worst packer ever, I need to learn to pack light!) and dreaming about Italian food, the language, the people, EVERYTHING. I've been to Italy before but it was years ago, back then we even visited Venice! This time we're going to a small city called Bergamo, it's close to Milan so we'll probably get to go there during our stay as well. I'm a little bit afraid of flying but luckily it's not a long flight from here (Finland) to Italy, only about three hours or so.
- Food wise, I feel like I need to start tracking my meals again when I come back home from our trip. I'm home alone a lot and I've started to snack and eat mindlessly during the day because I'm lonely/bored/for whatever reason. I think tracking what I eat will help me stay more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth and it'll keep me accountable as well.
- I've been maintaining around 156-158 lbs for a couple of months now. Now I'm starting to feel like I want to start losing weight again. So, once I'm back from Italy, I'll set a few realistic and doable goals for this spring so I'll be a little bit lighter when the summer gets here. I'd be more than happy to lose 10 pounds and then maintain for a while and see how it feels :)
- In general, I'm doing well. My eating is not perfect and that's what bothers me a little bit, and I want to get that in control. But now I'm just going to enjoy my vacation, eat, walk, see the sights, take pictures, meet new people and just have a wonderful time without worrying about anything!
