Up and at 'em

Yesterday was my first day back. I didn't work out but did well nutrition-wise, I was under the low end of my range but figure it's okay because I had been over all week last week. Although I swore I would not get on the scale, I did, but with the knowledge that whatever I saw would not be my true weight. According to my scale I was 11 lbs up. I knew I had not eaten that much and that I was still retaining water so no worries. This morning I checked again and am only 4 lbs up so I think I actually suceeded in maintaining and not gaining. I still need to lose some water weight, feet are still swollen and I've been peeing like a horse even though I haven't been drinking as much water. Normally, I drink at least 12 cups, yesterday I barely managed 8. This is also my TOM week and my usually bloat is 2 lbs. We will see what the end of the week brings.

Today is supposed to be my first jogging day to train for my 5k next month. I'm wondering if I should because of the swollen feet and ankle, what do you guys think? If not, I'll bike tonight while watching Revolution.

    Grats on only showing 4lbs up at this point of post vacation, that's an awesome job (even better if it comes down with the removal of some water!!). I would definitely do the biking, and I'd do it at an easy pace. Give your feet and ankles a couple of days before you subject them to standard torture!

    I would definitely give the feet/ankles a rest tonight if they are still swollen and giving you some trouble. The bike would be a good workout, but I would definitely ice them and elevate them afterwards for the rest of the night. I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation and still managed to make good choices for food and exercise!

    I think biking might be safer with the swollen feet and ankle.
