Dear Spring, get with the program

Monday, March 25, 2013

I woke up this morning to news that the schools were closed because of snow. March 25 and we have a couple of inches on the ground. We got jack diddly in the way of snow all winter and now, happy spring.

I am about a week into my renewed enthusiasm for working out and getting fit. I've been getting it done in the gym and with videos at home but I really need spring to get with the program and help me out. I need beautiful days to inspire me to get out for runs or at least walks. Warm weather to talk my kids to the playground. And sunshine to fight out the winter blues and desire for comfort food.

The 10 day forecast is not looking promising. The kids are going to spend spring break in winter coats.

Nice pictures! I can't wait for the spring to show up, too, because I love to garden.

P.S. please don't send that white stuff this way even though I do love it! emoticon

    Keep up the good work!!

You took the words out of my mouth...exactly my thoughts! =( This winter is rough and long. I never had the winter blues and boy did they hit me hard this year.
Hang in there...that's what I keep telling myself!! emoticon

Best of luck on working out. Remember even if you get 20-30 minutes of exercise it still counts!
