Froze This Weekend While Running Errands

Monday, March 25, 2013

Yesterday was a rainy, very cold day but we still went out in as we wanted to get our amusement park registration done (taking pictures for our cards and getting them processed) as we wanted to be able to attend the park without standing in a long line when it actually opened.

It was long walk to the registration office and the combination of cold temperature, rain, and wind was bone chilling. We were out in it for quite a while yesterday and even my husband was cold (and he hardly ever complains).

We ate out to celebrate our daughter's upcoming birthday yesterday as well and I really enjoyed my tilapia although it's very hard for me to figure out calories for a meal when there is nothing on the internet to help you with this particular restaurant.

Today I am going to be running numerous errands as we have two appointments as well as JC Penney's sent me a coupon, so I want to use it before it expires.

Today looks like it's going to be another cold, dreary day that I have to get out in. I don't like getting out when it's raining because no matter what the temperature, I am cold the rest of the day.

I made sure that I stopped by Trader Joe's on the way home since I don't get to go there as much as I'd like since it's 45 minutes away from me. I stocked up on tons of soup to help me stay warm and to also get even more veggies in my diet.

Saturday I went to Aldi's to stock up on veggies/fruits and I am addicted to their navel oranges. They are so sweet and juicy and I keep craving them every day. I bought a huge bag of them at Sam's Club and they were very disappointing, so who knew that the ones at Aldi's would be so much tastier and cheaper?

They are on sale for $1.89 a bag (4 pound bag I believe) and like eating sugar. I also bought their normandy blend of frozen veggies and that was pretty good too. You can't beat 30 calories for a cup of veggies that fill you up and taste yummy too!

Texaslynn - I guess I don't overbuy at Sam's Club because I try to be careful of what I do get and that it will be eaten by the family. I drive them crazy because I ask over and over again if they plan to eat what I'm purchasing for them since you get way more than you would at a grocery store, LOL.

31 and sunny here this morning; I hope it warms up for Easter. I've decided when Sams is paid off next week-hurray!-I'm never going back because I always spend too much anyway and have discovered the local Krogers is competitive in all the ways/things that matter.
