Plateaus (or is it Plateaux?)

Which ever spelling it is, a plateau is very discouraging. (Seven weeks and no change on the scale or with clothes fitting any better.) I've just joined a free trial of Spark Coach 28 day Plateau Busting Program, and am hoping it will help. I don't have unreachable goals. Just want to lose four pounds in the next 7 weeks. So I'll keep eating right, up my exercise slightly, and see what happens.

    Yes, it is discouraging. I usually don't weigh during those days...it eventually will pass, so long as you don't drop out of the striving.

    I remember when I was a kid and into gymnastics, we would hit plateaus. Week after week I'd try to do a new move and fall flat on my back while the other girls were learning new moves. The coach told me it happens to everyone and to use that time to practice and perfect the things I DID know how to do. Then one day, I landed on my feet, and the new moves came to me. A great lesson for a 12 year old.
