After work I play the piano at Ebenezer Nursing Home during dinner time. There are several people who look forward to hearing those old songs they love: Peggy was ecstatic when I played "Peg O My Heart Last time. She also like to yell out woof, woof when I play "How Much is That Doggy in the Window." Several others enjoy "Sioux City Sue" " her eyes are red, her lips are blue, I'd swap my dog and horse for you." LOL...
Eidelweis from the Sound of Music got a nice reaction from my friend, Brian, who graduated the same year I did from a neighboring high school.
Another new song I played last week was, "Don't Get Around Much Any More."
I like to finish with "Toot toot tootsie, goodbye" and also "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep you."
