This is my first go at a video blog! My next blog will be in the written form with lots of pics from the weekend wedding festivites!

    lol, I loved this! :-D That's nuts that you had to run that gauntlet of sleeplessness, though clearly you managed to survive, lol. I've seen your most recent video, when you hit your goal weight, so I've had a voice and character behind your writing for awhile, still I had to come check out your first kick at the video can when you mentioned it on my recent attempt. Gonna go watch your other ones now, hope you're having an awesome day!!!

    WOW! Up for 25 hours ...I'd be exhausted too, especially after a wedding. I love the v logs. So much fun to see others. I'm new to this and not brave enough yet! Keep up your updates and THANK YOU!

    I just wanted to comment about two things: First, you realize that there is absolutely NO scientific evidence that "detoxing" does anything helpful, and in fact can harm you, right? It is one of the worst nutrition pseudo-science fads out there! I highly discourage you doing this.

    Secondly, why are you trying out vegetarian? Now, I am not going to try to discourage you against this, but I am wondering... why? In this vlog you mention a challenge, but I feel there must be much better things you could do to challenge yourself, like maybe, train for a 5k/1/2 marathon. I myself was a vegetarian from age 11 to 25. Do you have a good plan to get in all of the protein that you need, especially with your rigorous workouts? A TON of foods have animal by-products in them that you don't realize. A mistake I made was assuming vegetarian would be healthier, which it can be, but you have to be careful as a lot of vegetarians turn into "carb-atarians." What type of vegetarian willl you be? I know some people who consider themselves vegetarians but still eat fish (which drives me nuts btw!). What about eggs or gelatin? Humans are omnivores, we are supposed to eat meat, that's why we have the teeth that we have.

    Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you were planing accordingly. There is a women in my lab who keeps going on all these fad diets (diet as in what you eat, not to lose weight). First she was a "vegetarian" because her 10 year old daughter wanted to be- but I've seen her eat pepperoni pizza. Now she dropped that and is going gluten-free like it makes her cool. I have a close friend who has celiac's disease, and it's so offensive to her this woman going on and on about being gluten-free. Anyway /rant off. I just blogged on your blog!

    Great video blog Brad! Thanks for sharing with us.

    You have worked so hard for so long. I know your motto is "Every Damn Day just Do It." However, life is to be LIVED, and every now and then a little celebration should be enjoyed, guilt free. This includes resting when you need to rest. Today you're gonna start pumping out the steam again. Period. That's who you are and what you do now. You are strong enough to enjoy life's celebrations and not let it derail you. I have watched your progress with awe.

    Third shift has got to be a bear. Not only coordinating your life with the rest of the sleeping world, but trying to overcome those feelings that you just might be turning into a bat. emoticon Not really, but you know what I mean. A nocturnal life is a difficult one to get our bodies to accept. You get extra points for thriving despite the additional stressors from your work schedule.

    I am going to do a 3 day detox aswell, whenever i can get a juicer because that is one of the great way to detox your body and get all the bad out, drink the fruits and drink lots of greens. So you going to a vegitarian diet by your choice or something you feel you have to do? Because you know fish and chicken breast has good source of protein right? lol anyways good luck with all of it, wishing you best of luck on your success and staying awake on those 3rd shifts :)

    I think you looked "camera ready" don't sweat it! 3rd shift is hard, kudos to you for functioning, especially after a weekend out of town. Good luck with the vegitarianism. The closest I ever came was a 10 day juice fast.... I loved doing it, I loved the way it made me feel, but I love steak too = ) Can't wait to see the pics of you and your Bond Girls!
