Abuelo's

Sunday, March 24, 2013

I went to the restaurant Abuelo's yesterday with friends.
The food was excellent. However, the service was like molasses - SLOW!
As I hadn't eaten for 7 hr. before going there, I was more than hungry.
Unfortunately, that led to me overeating on the chips and salsa. The chips were crisp and not greasy or salty.
I drank 4 glasses of water with lemon.
90% of the entree of salmon, refried beans and spinach came home with me.

Chips and salsa are my downfall! You probably did better than you realize. Bringing home that much especially!

I am not familiar with that name, but it sounds delish! Doggie bags are the best!

I have not eaten at the restaurant but have seen them. Now I know I can stop there for good food. But I also would have filled myself with chips and salsa during the wait as well. Love them even though I know I should back off.

Hmmm, since abuelo means grandfather, perhaps the service is slow like the pace of a grandfather! Just kidding!

I have to say that I do like chips and they can be my downfall if I don't set a limit on myself at the start!

You did pretty good I think! Going out for Mexican is my biggest downfall....I have to steer clear as often as possible, but it's great for a special treat :)

If I can get to the salad before the chips, I am safe. Sometimes I just day 'No chips' with food and friends because before you know it the bowl is empty. My weekend has been long waits before meals and it does make it hard. emoticon
