Baby steps...

I haven't yet been Sparking for an entire week, but already I am beginning to realise that I CAN become the lighter, fitter, more energetic, happier person I know I should be.

After yesterday's surprise attack of energy resulting in me actually enjoying (!!!) tackling some housework, I woke this morning having decided to take the larger (and more energetic) of my two dogs for a walk with a friend and her dog. We may have only walked for 20 minutes or so, but it's something I haven't felt up to doing for way too many weeks. I came home tired, but Ned, my dog, had that big, goofy grin back on his face I haven't seen there for a long time. Yes I was tired, yes my ankles, knees and hips were all protesting very noticeably, and yes I was definitely short of breath when we got back home, but I did it and I enjoyed every minute!

I'm planning on taking my little dog for a walk on his own this evening as well, maybe just around the block, maybe a little further, but I am determined to do it.

Baby steps definitely, but it's a beginning, and I know that so long as I keep making a little more effort each day, I CAN reach my goals.
