1st Quarter Goals Review:

I can't believe the 1st quarter is already gone, time sure does fly!! This is a check-up to make sure I'm staying on track!

This year is about trying something new, moving, and self improvement. So far this quarter:

Balance - emoticon

Activity - I've done well moving and getting in well over 1000 fitness minutes per month. However, I need to concentrate a little more on ST and Cardio.

Live simply - I do live fairly simply, but we are making progress toward an even simpler, de-cluttered life. Particular attention is on reducing our dependency on electronics. We've had definite improvement, just by leaving the smartphone behind. And personally, I can hardly stand for the tv to even be on. I prefer to be outdoors, enjoying God's creation.

Adjust Computer usage. I have limited my time on the computer, but haven't been successful at turning it off by 9 pm, on weeknights. However, it's been earlier most nights, so that's progress!

No! - Just say no, if it doesn't fit into my lifestyle and goals. emoticon

Challenges - emoticon

Expand on whole foods living, clean eating, label reading: This is a work-in-progress. I've come a long way, just slowly. I'll be working on this for a very long time!

New and different: So far this year I've been experimenting with different things, which include: Tahini, chickpeas, making my own hummus, trying a new restaurant, different DVD's and different exercise. I also bought a new kitchen gadget which involves trying new and different recipes, cooked a little differently, while expanding on clean eating, and I'm also getting used to raw veggies for snacks.

Personal growth: I'll finally be starting classes soon to enhance my photography hobby.

Ongoing:

Enjoy life! emoticon

Pantry challenge - emoticon

Cooking and experimenting with new recipes, grains, beans and legumes, and batch cooking. emoticon

Living my dreamboard/vision collage: This is an ongoing work-in-progress as well, and I regularly word toward these goals. emoticon

De-clutter, purge, organize: I've been working hard on this area, and I've made quite a bit of progress. It seems this is always on-going, but I have purged, organized and de-cluttered particular areas that had a deadline of 3-31-13. There is plenty more to be done! emoticon

2013 will be all about trying new and different experiences.

It may be just trying a new food or restaurant, location, destination, a new book, a new genre, activity, exercise, educational opportunity, expanding a hobby, or maybe even a personal or spiritual enrichment experience. I want to stretch and grow by challenging myself with new opportunities to enrich my balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Balance - Maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle: Spiritually, Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Nutritionally, and Financially.

Activity - Remain active and continually seek new, different, and fun activities. Just enjoy what I'm doing and keep on moving!

Live simply - Living in a way that is outwardly simple and inwardly rich. Being satisfied with needs, not wants. Living contently.

Adjust Computer usage. Limit time to productive resources which enhance my goals and my journey. Limit surfing and shopping, and turn it off by 9:00 on weeknights.

No! - Just say no, if it doesn't fit into my lifestyle and goals.

Challenges - Personal mini challenges to enhance my Spiritual, Physical, Mental, Emotional, Nutritional, and Financial aspects of healthy living.

Expand on whole foods living, clean eating, label reading, and continue learning and understanding what we consume.

Ongoing:

Enjoy life! I love my peaceful, laid back life, and spending quality time with hubby.

Pantry challenge - eating from the pantry first, limited trips to the store, reducing costs and waste, increasing creativity.

Cooking and experimenting with new recipes, grains, beans and legumes, and batch cooking.

Living my dreamboard/vision collage.

De-clutter, purge, organize.
