Do I Feel Lucky?

Sunday, March 24, 2013

Old Indian tradition says that when the mesquite trees leaf out there will be no more frosts in the spring, and it is safe to plant cold sensitive seedlings.

Every mesquite tree in my yard, and every one on the whole block, has leafed out.

So I planted my tomato plants in the ground.

Tonight's forecast is that the temperature will get down to 32 degrees early in the morning.

Dadgum Texas weather! It was up in the 90s last week!

We had a few days of nice weather and I almost gave in and planted but decided against it. Glad I did as yesterday my car was covered with ice.
