Cabin Fever!

Sunday, March 24, 2013

emoticon Mrumph! We were snowed in again today, I think we got around 8-9 inches here. The good news is that the ground is apparently a lot warmer than when we had the snow at the beginning of February, when we got slammed twice, just 4 days apart. When I came back from Texas, I knew that I was hoping for some winter, but I have had my fill.

I need to be outside, running, walking, looking at flowers, enjoying the springtime. Nearly every relatively warm day, I have been out, but those days have been quite few and far between. It's also been ironic that every time that I have had a scheduled run since I came back, the weather had been pretty cruddy... some to be expected, but the APFT last week was even in the low 30s since we are running about 20 degrees below normal. The good news is that by the end of this week we should be up into the 50s & 60s... much more hospitable.

I have also started training for my 10k on my treadmill. I am starting a beginner program and then will put myself on an intermediate track, so by the time fall comes, I should be in good position to do well.

Had a good time going to a mini Meet up with some other midMO sparkers. I am loving the chance to get to meet and put some faces to the names I see online... it was great to see NITTINNANA again and to meet DMD-MO for the first time. I then trundled off to my friend's house and taught her some basics of spinning wool.

It's back to work tomorrow, if I can get there! And then we are off to Seattle for a week's vacation on Saturday.

You are ambitious! Seattle's a great place for a vacation, and you deserve it!

BTW, We had about 12 inches here. We measured 11 inches on our deck.
