Blessed Palm Sunday to one and all (even though it's almost over) ha!ha!
I guess I am earning my self-appointed title, the late-night blogger. Although tonight is not as bad as some.
We had a great service in church this morning. We are in the middle of a series on healthy living. And right now we are studying healthy finances. This is not my best area. One of our pastors delivered a sermon dressed up as a farmer and talked about sowing and reaping as it refers to crops. He even set up an area where he had dirt and while he was talking he was putting seed in the ground. Sometimes sparingly, sometimes bountifully. He talked about giving as investing into the kingdom, into our body, and how when we are investing in our church with our giving when other people are blessed, we are blessed. It was so cool. It's a message on finances I will never forget.
Lunch with the family was at Village Inn. I wasn't sure how I was going to handle it and thought I was going to have to eat a salad, but made some wise choices from their VIB menu and had some of my favorites and my lunch was under 500 calories. Of course, the pie I had was also 500 calories, but it is Sunday, and the rest of my day has been very lo-cal, and I'm still under my calories for the day.
Chilled for a little while when I got home and then got some fitness in.
I checked in on facebook. Haven't done that in awhile beause I'm on here so much. I have some friends that I only keep in touch with on there.
Oh...and I forgot the best news! When I weighed in this morning I was down 4 pounds! I had set a goal to be at 265 by Easter. I am 1.4 pounds away. Don't want to overstress this week thinking about it. I know that can effect weight loss. Just stay on track and do my thing.
I put on another sweater today that I hadn't been able to wear before. Another NSV!!
Staying motivated for my fitness minutes is getting more difficult. I think I will feel better when the weather breaks and I can get outside some. This constant snow and cold, while I am a winter girl is really bad for outdoor fitness. And I LOVE my walks! The rumor is we may get some 50's by the end of the week. Yippee!! It's snowing again right now. While pretty coming down, not a good sign of spring!

    Hi Shari, sounds like you are doing great. Its nice to set small goals like you have for Easter. Those small goals add up to be a lot by the end of the year. Sounds like this next week will warm up again. I feel so much better when the sun is out. I was watching Extreme workout biggest Loser yesterday. There was a guy who lost over 267 lbs in one year. He was their fastest looser for loosing the most pounds in a year. Now that is really a lot of determination. Hope you have a good week. Take care.

    I agree with you Shari on the wishes for Spring to finally get here. I'm really tired of the cold and snow. My hubby used to do snow removal and there have been some really bad years lately for those who have that kind of business around here but this year it is dragging itself out way too long!
