Today was day 7 of cycle 1. I gotta say that I am really liking this eating plan that the 17 day diet calls for. It doesn't have breads, pastas, or rice carbs, but you do get carbs from fruits and veggies. I am feeling good considering. I am still lower on the energy, but nothing like I felt the first several day. Those were rough. I even went for a jog today. It felt good. It was a great day to jog too. It warmed up enough and the wind died down enough that I could actually enjoy my jog. My knees and ankles hurt during the jog and now, but I haven't jogged in a week, so I don't guess I am surprised.
My parents came up to visit and it was great having them here. They always watch the kids one night so that my husband and I can have a date night. I was proud of myself. I got grilled chicken, carrots, and greenbeans. It was too good to not have been cooked in butter or something, but I was proud with the choice I made. I know some people ask for their food to be cooked a certain way, like without butter or marinade, it I'd rather not. It taste better with their seasoning and such. It is just one meal and I still made fairly healthy choices. I was pleased with my dinner and choice. Earlier in the day I had to take my daughter to a pizza buffet for a birthday party and I didn't even have a nibble! Also, at dinner, they served these rolls that smelled divine, but not a nibble there either! I can't believe how well I am doing! It's ....weird.
While my parents were up, I tried on my matron of honor dress again and while I am not there yet, I made progress! It zipped fairly easy. It is still tight, but I can feel a difference. My mom thought that I have made enough progress that I don't need to have it let out, as long as I keep plugging along and staying on track. I went ahead and sent my dress, shoes, steamer, and other things back with my parents so that there is less things for me to pack to haul down to the wedding. It made me feel like the wedding is getting really close! I am so excited for my sister. She is planning and doing everything on her own and I can't wait for her to see it all pay off. She is so creative!
I am sad to see the weekend go, but we can't get warmer weather until we get to next week. So, bring on the week. Lets get through it and get to next weekend! I live for the weekend I think!
