Milwaukee - suggestions of places to live

Sunday, March 24, 2013

Anyone from Milwaukee out there?

We're considering a move for work - my job would be on the East Side. From what I've read, I think we would most like to live in Riverwest. The internet says it is a lively area, and would be close enough for me to bike to work.

Anyone have any good tips about where to look for apartments or what areas are fun to live in? I'd like to have a lively community-oriented atmosphere: diversity and liberal minds are a necessity, parks and greenery are a huge plus.

I've NEVER even been to WI before - so this potential move is a little scary.

FUN! :) I don't know Milwaukee though, so I can't be much of a help! Good luck with the search!

Riverwest would be a nice place to live. Lots of things going on in that neighborhood. Awesome area for running and biking as I believe the Oak Leaf Trail is close by. I think there are SPers thaat live closer to that area than me. I'm not THAT far. I live in South Milwaukee. I use the Oak Leaf Trail that's rarely talked about (the southern part of MIlw Co) Welcome!! I love Milwaukee.

I don't live there but have been there a few times. It is a beautiful city. We usually go by the lake and the Harley Davidson Museum. Sorry I'm not much help.
