I want spring! I want sunshine!

Hello dear Sparkfriends!

I expected a grey hike, and it was grey. Very. You know I love my hikes, but today I struggled! I took way too long to get ready and only arrived in Trilport at 3.30pm. It was cold. And wet, by the river Marne. It was mostly flat, apart from the stairs to cross the bridge at the beginning...

Most of the time, it looked like winter...

... with only, from time to time, some signs of spring (thank goodness!)...

I passed by a farm which makes brie, the local cheese ('supermarket brie' is the worst cheese in my opinion, but the real thing is so creamy, so tasty... it is to die for!).

After 1 hour, shivering, a bit bored, I decided I had had enough! I turned and walked back! I know, I know... I shouldn’t have. But it wasn’t what I had hoped for.

And deep inside, I know what the problem is: I am sick of winter. It is officially spring but it feels like winter! I want flowers and I want sunshine. I am ordering it for Easter next weekend! :)

I am sorry, this is a disappointing blog, with poor pictures. I will leave you with one of my pictures from summer (yay!) I played with on Photoshop yesterday to add text on... I wanted to change the background on my laptop to remind me that summer will eventually arrive!

Thank you for reading! And thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my previous blog. I am sorry I couldn't answer all of you, there were too many! Have a beautiful week!

Your scenery is charming, even if the sky is bleak and washed out. It will have you appreciate it all the more when lovely weather shows up.

I also liked your Helen Keller quote. Isn't it amazing how much she could see with her soul? emoticon

Compared to my 3-4 FEET of snow covering my yard and everwhere in my sight - these pictures are spring and a balm for my poor spring starved eyes.

Thanks

Spring never arrives in Montana until June! Then we head right into hot-hot summer! :) Survive until the sun comes back out!

I enjoyed your pictures in spite of the greyness. I especially loved the pics of pussy willows. They don't grow here in South Texas, so it really brightened my day to see them! Be of good heart - Spring will surely come soon to Paris!

Well at least the grass is green there. And I did not see any sign of snow. But the gray skies are the same here. I just want some sunshine without all the mud. Enjoyed your pictures, think spring.

I know exactly how you feel - and it looks like your spring is about 2 weeks ahead of ours - which is 2 weeks late. From snowy Virginia.

Your blogs NEVER disappoint! I know what you mean about wanting Spring, it snowed here yesterday, of course it didn't stick because the ground was too warm and it was pretty coming down. We are supposed to have a beautiful Easter day, I hope you do too!

I'm sorry your walk was dreary but I still really enjoyed the pictures and I would have loved some fresh Brie but my maintenance eating could not have handled the calories!

You are so not alone wishing the snow and cold would go away. We need moisture in SD but wouldn't mind the rain instead of snow just for the wet to soak in.

The fact that you got out and hiked at all should make it a win. We got 6 inches of snow here in mid-Missouri, and I'm with you--I want my spring weather already! By the way, the pics were lovely, and the scenery beautiful, even though it was gray. Think of it this way--overcast days give your photos better color saturation--so there is a positive to the weather. Love your blogs!

I can't believe you are apologizing for those beautiful pictures! I confess that I love grey days. I miss them, although we did have a grey day yesterday and today it rained almost all day. Most of the time Charlotte has plenty of sunshine and mild winters. I've decided that each season has something to recommend it. Hope your week is sunny!

A two hour hike is nothing to feel bad about. You got out, you breathed fresh air, you experienced the countryside ... But, yes, it certainly is time for Spring!! I think your photos are lovely as ever.
