Today I mapped out 3 stress-reduction activities I could do during the week that wouldn't interfere with what I have to do. The 3 I have picked to work with this week include: Taking a bath (~15 minutes), deep breathing, and affection with a loved one or pet (Other half or cat, Willow). The deep breathing I can do while at work and the bath I can do when I get home after a long, stressful day. As for affection with a loved one or pet, I can do this in the morning and after work. I'm also contemplating starting yoga.
Also today, even though it's my day off, I have found a few stressors: homework, getting assignments done, and tension headaches. I will continue to keep track of these through the week. I'm also going to try to walk more to see if it helps with stress from homework. A small break won't hurt much. I'm also going to try to eat better this week, as I've been stress eating like mad.
For now, my current hope for beating stress is to get this assignment done and submitted so it's off my plate. :) Now, to get that worked on!
