Moisturizer and Water

Saturday, March 23, 2013

Went to work early today because I wanted to pick up some Cocoa Butter Moisturizer. I realized that I forgot my water. So when I stopped at the local pharmacy to get the moisturizer I got some water too. I got a liter so I had 4 glasses of water while I was at work. I walked about 7K steps and was cut off the floor early. I was serving today. I can't wait to get back to normal shifts and off restrictions. April 1 my husbands benefits kick in so I can get some new glasses. I can't wait for those either. Not having the third car is going to save us at least $30 a month in car insurance plus the registration fees etc. I have been told that moisturizer soaks into your skin better when your skin is damp. Has anyone else heard this?

Guess I hadn't heard about moisturizers and damp skin, but then I usually put mine on right after a shower, so my skin is still damp. Would love to get a good moisturizer for my husband's face, as he is experiencing itching, and the doc says its contact dermatitis, not shingles.

I use moisturizers all the time because my hands get so dry. I keep those little hotel bottles in my car, I keep some in my pocketbook, some next to the table where I watch TV and I just use it all day. Yes, it absorbs a little better if the skin is damp but just using it will work.

Yes, moisturizers are best absorbed when your skin is warm (like right after a shower) because your pours are more open.

emoticon on the steps. I'm waiting for our tax refund to get myself a bodymedia device.

I have also heard that about moisturizers so generally apply after my shower.
