Another Sunday Weigh in...

Today I dropped .2kgs from last week... yay it is a drop. 77.4 kgs.

I find I need to eat between 874 and 1337 cals to get any loss - I interval eat so up two days down one. I've got another 21 kgs to lose and am getting concerned I'll have to eat nothing to get a maintain when I get there... ha ha!!!

I have upped my Zumba and weights to 2 -3 hours 5 days a week and 20 mins two days a week respectively. Sparkpeople says I'm doing too much but it feels so good I'd like to do more.:)

I've showed my stats to hubby who is usually amazing with numbers and he says just keep going you are doing fine. Nice ...

Before I started SP hardly moved at all except to go to the fridge!!!!

Anyone got any ideas to help, I don't promise to try them if they don't fit my management plan ...sorry...but I'd like to hear them all?

On the up side I decided to wear my size 18 jeans today, as finally we are moving into autumn and they were too big in january but I'm old school or scottish or something and don't want to waste them as I only wore them twice, and they are sooo baggy ...another yay...

  • 1BEACHWALKER gives you calorie ranges for maintenance for your age, height, weight & by how much exercise you do each week. You must have a good metabolism, since most bodies would go into starvation mode and not lose at all, with calories that low and with what exercise you do. Unless the Australian system of calories are different. But, if it is working and you are feeling great and getting results, like you said...keep it up! But, if the weight loss stops all together and you hit a plateau, you may need to eat more. You would be amazed at how many calories you are allowed at maintenance!
    It is great when clothes that used to be tight, start getting baggy or even better you have to go to a smaller size!! emoticon

    Grats on the loss :) I understand about the calories needed to lose, sometimes I think I'll need to survive on around 500 calories a day to maintain my loss (if I ever reach my goal, that is!!)

    I laughed at the "I'm old school, or Scottish" line. I've got Scots blood from both sides of the family and I can be stubborn and frugal myself! I just hate to waste money... heck, the sneakers I'm wearing are from 2008!!! I'd say I have gotten my $60 worth out of them :) But they're still comfy, not too beat up looking and I'm going to keep 'em for a while longer!

    Great job! Are you sure about your cal count, it seems too low. I always thought below 1000 cal a day and your body goes into famine mode. If you wear 14s I'm suprised your 18s don't fall off! emoticon emoticon

    re suggestions for moving more...I have found that the goal for doing a minimum of 10,000 steps each day has really helped me. Rather than just getting in all my exercise in the morning and then stopping dead in my tracks, keeping an eye on my steps keeps me extra dogwalk here, another mile of Leslie Sansone walking dvd, etc.

    Yes Good memory ...they are the old pair, I'm wearing them around the house and keeping the 14's for shopping and other excursions off the property:)

    The 14's are getting loose but they fit well enough and I can't zip up the 10's on yet Bec got me.

    Size 18 Jeans??? Didn't I "see" you wearing size 14 jeans a few blogs back?

    Donate them...or learn to quilt. I have a friend who made the most lovely jean quilt blankets....

    there's a good thing I can say. If Sparkpeople says you're doing too much exercises, it's a good thing. It means you can increase your calorie intake a little on the days you do more exercises.

    And, I'm a little consern about the 874 calories amount. It really is low, I've always read that you shouldn't go below 1000 calories if you're totally sedentary and 1200 calories if you do exercise. You should look into this because too few calories will make your body go into preservation mode and lower your metabolism.

    Wow that's wonderful news. Keep it up. Your DH sounds like mine but what are you going to do. You have others cheering in your sections. I think the switching things up is good but be careful by doing all that exercise and not eating enough calories otherwise your body will start hoarding as it will think its in starvation mode.
