Dinner outing - stayed true to plan

Saturday, March 23, 2013

Last night We went out to celebrate the birthday of a very dear friend. I looked at the menu beforehand but it didn't really help me. As the waiters took food to the neighboring tables, I was in awe of the potion sizes and heavy sauces. While my friends ordered cream laden dishes. I ordered a salad which had apples, walnuts, greens, craisins & goat cheese. to that I added a jumbo lump crab cake, that had no fillers and was broiled. I couldn't even eat half the salad which I did not put dressing on.

So happy that I can go out and make healthy choices without feeling deprived. This morning I was down, but it's not my official weigh-in day, so have to wait til Tuesday. Should have some very good news then! It will be goodies for all my SP friends.

I agree that restaurants are a challenge. That salad sounds yummy! I love goat cheese.

Isn't it a triumphant feeling when you can go out and enjoy yourself and still eat in a way that will create the healthy beautiful body you're aiming for?

    Congratulations.

Tuesday is my weigh in day too. I'll be thinking of you then.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Good going! The real test is out among the public and in restaurants. If you are blessed with friends who do not encourage you with the wrong kind of foods you're even doublly fortunate! GOOOOOOOOOOOOD for you!
