Leo is 10 1/2 months old now.
And....Leo's reflux is doing better than ever! He sleeps flat all the time now - IN HIS OWN ROOM!!! He's eating one full meal of solids per day, plus some little bits of food here and there. We have begun trying to add back in the foods I cut out of my diet to help his reflux. I tried some refried beans made with pinto beans the other night, and he's been fine, so beans may be back on the menu, alright!
I'm still successfully exclusively pumping, and looking head, I plan on going more than a year :) A friend I made through Stroller Strides gave me some new pump parts, so I'm not washing parts as frequently now, which makes it even easier to keep going! As for Stroller Strides - I am SO GLAD I joined. Leo and I have made so many friends, and it keeps us very busy. We go 4 days a week right now, and do all the lunches and play dates. He also does playgroup, story times, music class, and craft class.
No teeth or crawling or sleeping completely through the night yet. He still wakes up about 3-5 times in the 11-12 hours he is in bed at night. He stands for up to a minute on his own, and scoots around on his butt to get things when he's playing on his own. He still has never said "dada", but has been saying "mama" for months, has said banana, yellow, and flower a few times. He's going through a shy phase, where when new people try to talk or interact with him he turns his head away or burrows it into me, then he peeks his head out for a moment before hiding again. I know it's just a phase, but it bums people out cause he won't engage.
I've lost about 2-3 inches from my middle since starting stroller strides at the end of January, but my weight has actually crept up a few pounds. Since my supply is good and Leo is near a year old, I think I may begin tracking my intake again, and perhaps cut calories a little if it turns out I'm eating well over 2,000 per day. The one piece I ordered from Jcrew fit fine, so I'm all set with a suit for the summer. I've been telling all the moms that I have a pool, hoping for lots of pool playdates for Leo this summer!
We've also been planning his first birthday. Right now we're just trying to decide on a location and guest list. We dont have any family close-by, so it's all friends. My husband and I will be taking Leo to Sea World for the first time, but also want to have a little celebration in his honor. We're torn between as close-by park, Gymboree, and a park that has a little train for the kids to ride that you can rent for birthdays.
So, everything is pretty good right now - yay!
