Walking in the Rain in Dallas

Saturday, March 23, 2013

We joined the Dallas Trekkers for a 10K that highlighted the Swiss Avenue Historical District. Loads of beautiful old homes. It was 49 and raining when we started. It only rained during the first 3K and then it quit. The sun never did come out.

We passed a Mermaid Mural.

This was "the best" in my opinion of the homes.

The walk also went through the Baylor Medical Center. This is the Cancer Center.

There were lots of blooming plants but I liked the Wisteria the best.

After the walk we stopped in DeSoto for lunch. It looked like it had snowed there. Turns out it was accumulated hail. We picked up a couple of pieces and measured them. They were about quarter size. Glad we didn't get any of that in Dallas where we were walking.
