Just One Tiny Number

And that number is ONE
Amazing how those little things called numbers can get inside our head and wreck havoc. FINALLY - 1 POUND gone. 204 staring up at me this morning.

O N E pound gone

This is 1/12th of my 3 month goal to lose (at least) 12 lbs by mid June.
(My mini goal is to reach 199 by April 13 though).

This was also the first week I could REALLY kick it into gear, and it is still not where I was pre-surgery, but hey, it is soo much better than it was. Today was the first day I used my heart rate monitor since March 2011 when I had my first surgery. Go Me!

Numbers this week
floor scale - 204
morning physical therapy core exercises - total 99 minutes (every day)
Wii fit - total 54 minutes (twice this week)
Recumbent exercise bike - (not since last Saturday -so not this week)

Exercise Goal
at least 10 minutes of my morning routine daily ( Sunday rest day)
weights added to 3 of those days.
Aiming to go on recumbent bike 2-3 times per week
Aim to go on Wii fit - 3-4 times and eventually 6 days/wk for 10 minutes

I am still taking it slowly at getting back into this. Like today. I aimed on going on my bike, but after I did the wii fit, my back was yelling back at me. It also told me what I can and cannot do YET on the wii fit. Got to listen to these things. They are not deterrents but to keep my body safe, but going in the right direction. Tomorrow's rest day will be well deserved, but if I feel motivated, or rather not hurting and energetic, I will do some "play" by going on the wii fit for fun, or the bike a little bit. Balance, my young jedi padawan.

Now to get outside my head and do some Saturday stuff, Bible study, writing, creativity, and chores.

The other thing about that number ONE, You make it happen ONE moment at a time, ONE step at a time. Go ahead. I dare you. MAKE IT HAPPEN! It only takes ONE.

Each and every pound lost is one step closer to reaching a goal, be it a mini goal or the ultimate one so celebrate each one because it is a mini success. Keep going, slow but sure. I have come to a standstill in my journey since Dec but I know I can kick it up, have just had too many other things happening to concentrate on me right now. But I continue my walking and even though I might eat things I should not, I am not gaining and actually losing inches. I bought a pr of size 14 shorts today and I can get them on and zip them up, they are a bit tighter than I like but another 5-10 lbs and they will fit great so that is my mini goal to reach by the middle of May.

emoticon I was so happy to lose 1 pound today, and I'm extra happy that we both lost 1. You are being very faithful to your minutes. emoticon I don't dare slack up on myself. It will be like the mice in "Muppet Christmas Carol" saying "(S)he's gone!" And the pounds will be having a party. Have a great study : )
