Springing into Action Week 5 Challenge

Saturday, March 23, 2013

This week didn't start very well for me. Had the stomach flu Monday and Tuesday. I still walked though. I only did a mile on Monday but I still got out (18 minutes). The rest of the days were a mile and three quarters at the local track (33 minutes). So nice to see the trees starting to bud out and although it was windy and cool, it was sunny a couple of days and that made it better. Seeing the robins hopping around and the grass starting to green up is encouraging too. Unfortunately we're supposed to get several inches of snow tomorrow, But, the good thing is it is only temporary. We are on the upswing!!! It won't be too much longer until we will be complaining about the heat. lol.

For the bonus, our local farm market isn't opening until April 5 but you can bet I'll be there on opening day. Some of our local grocery stores have had some good veggies recently. We had some corn on the cob last week! Yummy treat! Can't wait to get out and work in the flower beds!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!! Let's keep this going and make the most of this challenge. We can do this!!!! Go Sparklers!!!!

We are never happy with the weather. It's too cold, it's too hot. I find it funny.

Good for you Lisa for pushing ahead even though you had the flu. I did the same thing when I had a cold. I wouldn't let it bring me down or take over my whole body and I was able to continue with my workouts throughout.

We had a new grocery store open by us and they have some great fruits and veggies there too. It is great when we have a choice. If I could afford it and they were available all of the time, I would probably buy only organic fruits and veggies.

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing so well!!!! Keep up the great work!!! emoticon
