I think that is European for "backside". That is neither her nor there. Bottomline: I HATE TurboKick! I let a FB friend talk me into going and she didn't even show up. TurboKick is like TaeBo sped up. Everything was just moving too fast. I was by far the biggest person in class and I must say, I am not THAT big anymore. Half the chicks in the class were just wearing sportsbras and they had EIGHT-PACK abs. I am generally a fast learner but for the 25 minutes I spent in that class, I probably spent a good five minutes standing in stupor as everyone kicked, punched and spun around me, literally. This was definitely a class for the uber-fit and it requires a commitment to the class because these people have the complex routines memorized. Not my cup of
I escaped the madness about half-way into class. I don't like feeling stupid and I don't like not being able to participate full=out. Prior to class I did some bicep curls, shoulder presses and squats. When I came out of class, I did 16 minutes on the treadmill but then I got bored because I didn't have my earbuds on me. I decide it would be a ST day. I do three sets of deltoid flys (50 lbs), 3 sets of chest presses at 50 lbs. I then did the hip adductor machine at 65 lbs. I finished that and did some quick shoulder work with some loose plates. I only burned 540 something calories but I think that was okay considering I did a lot of strength training today.
I like to finish my workouts with time in the sauna. The most ANNOYING guy was in there. First of all, I wish they had a rule that you can't bring equipment into the sauna because it is too cramped in there already. This weirdo has on a beanie, rainbow socks, and a damn bandana wrapped around his face! All you can see is his eyes. He has brought in those foam stability boards, medicine ball and something else I can't even remember. This guy is planking it out and then doing push-ups and then swinging the ball and situps and anything else you can think of that SHOULD be done in the gym NOT in the sauna. The WORST part is the whole time he is grunting LOUDLY and panting like he is taking his last breath. At several points I thought he was going to pass out. Myself and the three other women in the sauna all looked afraid. It was the most awkward thing. A couple of the guys in the room gave him the , "You are jackass" look. I just felt it was a bit inconsiderate and highly dangerous.
I am staying off of the scale until April 1st when the Move it and Lose It Challenge starts at work. Until then, I am trying to stay active. I don't anticipate much of a loss for the month of March and that is okay because I am feeling awesome and I know April and May are going to be stellar!
! Have a FABULOUS day!
