Getting Out Of My Own Way Is Easier Said Than Done

Saturday, March 23, 2013

I was tired last night. I knew it because my eyes kept drooping closed. As I entered my little galley kitchen one last time with the cat to show him where his food was, I found myself opening the door to the refrigerator. I said to myself," You're not hungry so stop looking. Have a glass of water instead." Which is what I did. And when Mr. Sheffield settled into his bed for the night, I went to my own. Safe, for the time being, from getting in my own way!

Awesome! I do the same thing sometimes and have to (hope to?) stop myself as you did and ask, "What am I doing?" and bring myself back to present. It sounds like you were able to get out of your own way - hooray! Great job!
