Lessons learned to make travelling easier!

Saturday, March 23, 2013

LOL-----These are 2 ladies--different ages-----I Love them ---both!----Maybe it's the same
Lady----different times!

First of all----WE ARE HOME!!!----We were only gone almost 4 days----
We travelled on a "Parent Pass"--Son #2, the Pilot, watches for times of day, when there aren't as many people on a certain flight--then, informs us-----and we go--""IF THERE ARE SEATS available""---We pay the tax--which is not very much--
For instance, seats are more apt to be available on a 6am flight, than a 5pm flight---more apt to be available on a Tuesday, rather than a Saturday-

It's best too, if you only have ""Carry-on"" luggage--not check bags ----you never know until the last minute if you get on the plane-Small carry on luggage, is best!----I had heavy huge carry-on luggage----nearly weighted me down walking at a fast pace through "'customs"" etc--
Keep your body small----LOL----- the more weight you carry on your frame , is what you carry through an airport---in a hurry to the next gate---
Perhaps, when a wheel chair is offered-----it should be accepted--LOL-----First time in my life have I ever heard, ""Do you 2 need a wheel chair?""-----LOL--I must've looked OLD--LOL-----but--heck---perha
ps I shudda said, ""Yes, bring on the chair!""--

And forget the purse----Get a back pack----
Wear sensible shoes---(I didn't)----
Be prepared to ""not get there on the day you had hoped for""----

We don't travel much---(not enough, son #2 says)---Himself is 84, I am 70----But we do enjoy our home--and our Germans (dogs)----and they sure love being back home!)---
But ---(the big ""butt"")----I admire all the airlines that carry hurds of people to their destinations----safely too!-----People in airports sitting in certain areas were very helpful pointing us , which area to go to-----people at ticket wickets try to help as much as possible-----and the planes and their pilots and flight attendants are like wee Gods , picking one up, and dropping you in another country--or city---

We had a wonderful visit with daughter ---and her 2 little ones--and we didn't find it very warm in Medina , Ohio, yet--As Grandaughter kept saying, "'Where is Spring Gramma??"---- Little Grandson (2 yrs) only said," I want my Mom!""----LOL----
WE ARE HOME------
Now---to get back to Sparking----SERIOUS SPAKING!

I don't know what happened but Spark deactivated my subscription to your blog... I must have deleted a notification e-mail without following the link or something... BUT this afternoon I am reconnecting it!

Thought of you today when I saw the time one 70 year old woman put in on the ten mile race I participated in. She flat out BLEW me out of the water! Age is NOT a limit!

Spark on, my friend!

Sounds like a fun learning "venture" and a nice visit, but there's no place like home!
