Yesterday I was driving home. I was at a light waiting to make a right turn (can't make a right on red). When the light turned green I made my right turn and was slowly building up speed, not even at 25mph yet, when this jeep was behind 2 tractor trailers on the opposite side of the road decided to make an illegal U-turn and come right out from behind the 2 trailers and slammed into my beautiful black Odyssey. Due to I already have 3 herniated discs and sciatica (proved on an MRI), my back was in pain and then soon my neck and shoulders. I was taken by ambulance to be check out and sent home with pain meds. I am not a happy Sparkperson right now. No Spark cheers will make me smile. I have to admit though I flipped out on the guy and all he kept doing was apologizing and when the police came, he lifted his hands in the air stating, "I DID IT! I CAUSED THE ACCIDENT OFFICER. I MADE THE ILLEGAL U-TURN. SHE DID NOTHING WRONG, IT WAS ALL ME AND I AM SO VERY SORRY". That I have to say was impressive. He had to be in his 20's. Even the officer was impressed with his honesty but still had to give him a summons for careless driving and his reply to the officer was..."I KNOW, I DESERVE IT". wow!!! So then I told both him and the office of my pre-existing back issues. I said to both.."I know people will claim an existing injury as a new one from the accident. I am not like that. It's on record at 2 hospitals and all I am concerned with it did not aggravate anything more." The officer was in shock because he never had 2 people be very honest about something. He said usually people will try to lie and talk their way out of getting into trouble or in my case, lie to get more insurance money, but not the both of us and the other officers would never believe it.. LOL
So today I am sore and the doc at the ER said its going to take a few days so try to rest. Know it's hard due to I am 'Mom" but do only what I have to do and then relax. So I will try to track but not really hungry. Staying mostly on my couch and bed. Exercise is out for a few days but no worries, "I'LL BE BACK!!!"
