My Personal Monthly Weight Loss Goals

It is evident that consistency is the key to staying on track, keeping motivated, getting stronger, and losing weight. After nearly 3 months of SparkPeople, I can tell the difference of how I feel when I consistently "check-in" to SP and when I don't allow myself to visit the website...I lose accountability and slip further away from my health and fitness goals.

I just counted FORTY more weeks until the last weekend in December. When I initially joined SP in January, my goal was to lose 50 lbs by the end of 2013. At the rate I'm going now, I will need to lose at least 1.25 lbs per week (healthy and reasonable) to meet that goal. That equals to about 5 lbs of weight loss per month.

From this day forward, I am challenging myself to do just that, lose at least 1.25 lbs per week! My monthly weight loss goals:

START 186 (weight on MAR 21)
APR 20 - 181
MAY 18 - 176
JUN 15 - 171
JUL 13 - 166
AUG 10 - 161
SEP 07 - 156
OCT 05 - 151
NOV 02 - 146
NOV 30 - 141
DEC 28 - 136

I can't wait to see and feel what 136 lbs is like!!! The last time I remember weighing that was in 1999 (14 years ago)! Right now, it's hard to even imagine that it is possible. BUT, I did weight that before so why couldn't I weigh that again?! This is the year I will make it happen.
