Since September I have been trying to start, and FINISH, a workout program. I started it a few times and each time I would make it about half way through and get scared and give up. The second half of the program is challenging. Now I am always up for a challenge. I love challenging myself in running, I love challenging myself in weight loss, I love challenging myself in just about anything.
The thing is I only like to challenge myself if it's something I am pretty sure I can succeed at. I mean it's a challenge because I have to push myself to get better, but really I am almost always sure I can do it.
But when it came to this strength training program, that in the very hard stages includes jump roping, high knees, and jump squats as well as all the weight training. I just thought I would fail, therefore it was easier to give up.
Then at the first of the year I made it one of my 2013 goals to not only start but actually COMPLETE the 12 week program. Well here we are in the 12th week of the year, and after tomorrows 60 minute cardio session, I will have completed the 12 week program!!! I am so proud of myself for following through with it. I am proud that even though there were times that I thought, why finish, I still pushed through.
I followed the program for the most part. I didn't follow the eating plan, and I did cardio EVERYDAY, even though she doesn't reccomend it, I am just a cardio junkie.
Anyways, just had to toot my own horn. Here is the program I followed. It is by Jamie Eason and she is AWESOME!!!
