A friend posted this on Facebook:
I told myself this quote in November. I remember back a few years ago I told my mother when I was at my highest weight, I said enough is enough. Also, I said "Either Shut Up or Make the Change". I ended up doing both. I shut my mouth, then made some serious changes. I decided to get out of my depressed state as well as get my bootie off of the couch. No one ever said the weight loss journey would be easy. I have to remind myself that this journey is truly a marathon, because the weight did not come on overnight. So, it sure as heck won't come off overnight (don't we wish it did though)! I told myself this time around that I was going to put my best foot forward and do my best! So far, everything is going good! I had my ups and my downs, which is to be expected! I am so worth the effort. Every time, I do kickboxing, I'm worth the effort. Every time, I get up from my desk at work to take a little stroll, I'm worth the effort. Every time, I get on that treadmill, I'm worth the effort. Every time, I make good decisions about my food choices, I'm worth the effort. My self-worth is coming back! WooHoo!
No more complaining! Just Hard Work! I know my hard work will pay off in the long run!
I know I posted this earlier this week, but it bears repeating! Don't give up! If I can do it, you can do it too! Let's continue to do this together!
