Day 14 Juicing

Scale went down another lb. 16lbs so far.
This made me reach my first goal of the lowest weight I had reached with Paleo.
Yesterday I pushed more juices and water and it helped.

The scale... I have a love hate relationship with it. I don't like it when it tells me the truth and I have it even more when it lies. I weigh myself daily because I like to monitor my body so I can understand it better. For example, when my monthly friend approaches I retain 3-5 lbs 2 days before it arrives until a day after it is done. During this juicing phase, I have been surprised to see the scale going down as much as it has. Yes... I saw the documentary, but this type of weight loss happens to others and not me. So it has been nice to see my body actually responding positively.

And since I like to talk about TMI subjects, I will address the bathroom issues during juice fasting. You pee a lot. A LOT. Then I was under the impression that there would be no bowel movements since I am only ingesting juices. That was not the case! And adding flax seed and chia seeds to my juices, have made things more regular too. I don't know if this works the same for all people, but it sure was a pleasant surprise for me, especially since I go out with clients all the time and I don't have to worry about "accidents"

Engery was up today, did 30 min Zumba. I get cold usually in early evening. Been wearing long sleeve shirts at home and sleep with one on too. It goes with the territory of having your digestion system dormant. Hot tea helps with this.

Off to drink some tea and catch up on shows.

The weight loss should remain if I eat healthy and exercise. If I go to my old ways (before paleo) then I will gain it back. Average you gain back about 6 lbs once you start eating , even if you eat salads.
The whole point of this plan is to heal the body. You are giving it lots of nutrients directly into your system. Since you are just juicing your digestive system takes a break, which gives your body the ability to go to the places in that are damaged and heal them. People who have done it swear by it, and continue juicing on a daily basis as a supplement.
So far, my sleeping has been the most normal ever, my blood sugars are in normal levels, period was "normal" and my hand and knee pain have been reduced. Sinuses have been really good, and my sense of smell that was keen already has become even sharper. My mood has been really happy even though we had lots of cloudy days and I didn't have to use my herbal supplements (L-theanine or lemon balm).
The weight loss is the bonus to this. And the steady loss really helps with doing this plan as it is very strict.
So I hope when I am done with this run, that you my Spark friends will be there to guide and help me keep the weight off!!!

    Just curious but what will happen after you stop juicing? Will the weight stay off?
