A decent day...

Another late night last night meant another slow start this morning. I did take the dog for a long walk (5+ miles) this morning. Then decided to pamper myself rather than going to the gym. I would have only been able to go for about 45 minutes, which didn't seem worth it. Instead I took a long, hot shower which warmed me up, I think for the first time in days. Usually I just hop in and out, but today I luxuriated in the warmth and double conditioned my hair. I had company coming at 2pm, so I had to rush to get dressed, but that was okay. I have a friend who does a small grocery run for me once a week, so while she was out doing that I got on the rower and burned a few more calories, as well as doing two SP videos. My friend came back and we visited for a while. When she left (around 5:30pm) I took the Cooper out for another long walk (5+ miles again). So we walked over 10 miles. Not bad for such an off kilter day. My friend bought me Cadbury creme eggs at the store. I asked for one and she bought me four. Four! Of course I had to eat 2 right away. lol... Anyway, I made them fit into my calorie budget for the day, but my fat% will probably be sky high for the day. oh well, they were worth it!

I haven't decided what to do tomorrow for exercise. Any suggestions?? I was thinking of long walks with the dog and the rower again, but I really should go to the gym. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...

    Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda, is usually said AFTER an event, not before. You've probably already started whatever you decided you COULD do. So what did you decide? You know, those bottles of cooking oil make great barbells.

Sounds like you're getting bored with what you are doing. Does that mean you need to step it up? And I CAN'T IMAGINE how you would do that with walking. Maybe just find a different place to walk??

Perhaps your creativity to work for you on your cross-training day with other activities to beat the boredom? Are you choosing something fun to do daily?

    Ahhh the shower. We have a nice shower head that has different settings and I love to get in there, get clean and then stand under it while it beats my back and shoulders and then a nice warm fine misting to ease down. I don't often get to luxuriate in there because we only have 1 bathroom and there are 3 of us. Not too much privacy at a time in there. LOL I wish I lived near you and could go on some of those walks with you. I am working on walking but it is slow. I can't walk for too long yet but your walks inspire me to go farther and longer . Keep working it.

    You might consider getting a set of 10 pound dumbbells to keep at home. You could do a killer strength work-out at home when you can't make it to the gym. They aren't that expensive at Wal-mart. :o)
