A couple weeks ago I walked into a side garden at a florist shop. It began with lovely bright flowers and the further in you went the more shaded and magical it became. I bought a lime green philodendron. I decided I had to make a magical place like that somewhere in my home! So in short order I moved the hutch out, a dresser in, glass shelves came from across the hall and a cool wood tool chest came in from the garage. Now none of the plants are really old a few are new, most are a couple years old and several had previous owners:-)
For some reason Sunny is so good when I have his cage next to the" wall of tropical plants". Maybe he thinks its the rainforest!
without his cage in the way!

backside of the room
my father in laws wood workers tool box, I saw it in the garage and thought it needed to come into the house, how cool antd rustic:-) the lamp has an example of my favorite new craft-wrapping yarn around anything! The lamp shade was gross and dingy. I wrapped yarn wreathes at Christmas so why not try it on this? Well I love it and you can change the colors when ever you want for pennies!
my favorite piece of furniture, a shabby chic old dresser. Swedish ivy on top a cute bunny doll and the little sequin dolls I made in the 1970's:-) the pictures are me and my brother as toddlers, Grandma had them made and Mom just handed them down to me:-)
you can see more yarn wrapped flower pots and little cone trees I used at Christmas time.
So this is the first day it's finished and a work in progress. If you have tips on house plants please tell me! The Boston ferns are new, the Swedish ivy is new and pieces of it break off whenever I move it. It was fairly root bound in it's hanging basket and has a few yellow leaves but was quite dry until I potted it last week.
