Lots of ups....literally!

Friday, March 22, 2013

The first "up" was my oldest daughter signed with a university to play soccer! It's only 40 minutes from home so far enough away for independence, but close enough for security!
Go Warriors!

The other "up" was the scale. I knew it would be coming! Up 2 lbs this week. (I did change my calories back to 1300 to 1500 instead of the 1800 that Spark had for me.) I know it could be the muscle that I'm seeing in my arms and legs. My abs are getting toned and my butt is sore, too. All good, but those darn numbers play with the brain.

I took my measurements, didn't log them, but they are the same. I do know my thighs are toning as my jeans are a little snug in that area now. Again, worth not seeing the jiggle and sagging skin.

I'll keep going "Insane" every morning! I'll see what the scale says next week and in the mean time, I'll just keep gaining muscle! emoticon

I know how that darn scale plays with the brain but great job of knowing you are doing the right things and I would go for pounds up with a toned body anyday over sagging and giggling. Good attitude.
Congrats on daughter.
Have a terrific day.

Such exciting news about your daughter! I love having my daughter at UNL - we can see each other as often or as little as we/she likes. I love having her back home whenever she wants. What school will your daughter be going to? (if you don't mind me asking)

We all gain a little from time-to-time. The important thing is to keep going. Slow and steady to stay the course. Scales can be depressing, so don't depend on just them. As your clothes ge looser, and your muscles start showing definition, you know you are headed in the right direction. emoticon

Glad your daughter is still going to be close to you. You will feel better about that.

I read an article last week and thought of you. It said when you start a new workout the scale generally goes up for a couple weeks then starts coming down because of repair from the new muscles you are using . Keep pushing forward and you will see it drop. Also; how many cals does insanity burn? Sounds like you are not eating enough and you aren't balancing.

Yay! I can only imagine the comfort of the 40 miles for both you and your daughter. That's great!
Ugh, those darn numbers. Remember you are so much more then that number. Keep smiling and doing what you are doing!
