Slicing the salami

Friday, March 22, 2013

I am breathing for a minute, having made it thru another work week (so far). Thanks Spark Pals, for your ongoing support and suggestions. I had lunch with an old and dear friend who is also having some challenges, and we bounced some ideas off of each other, and pretty much validated that fact that we come to the same conclusions regarding the various and sundry issues. I had fish and rice and veggies and miso soup. I like having my main meal at lunch. A Lean Cuisine before J#2 tonight, and I'm good.

I am holding my weight loss together. I am 2 pounds down today from my post-holiday high weight, and 4 pounds from my almost-there weight. 11 pounds total to go until GOAL (read GOAL with a Spanish soccer game announcer in mind! That's how I feel today!).

KKKaren is correct in her comments. I need to do the damn resume. As soon as the FAFSA and The Girl's taxes are completed. I will do her taxes because she has enough on her plate with college and work, and, after all, she is my dependent. I guess that I should take a quick break and download the federal stuff. BRB.

Ok. Back to you. I just downloaded the federal stuff. I could have killed a tree. I have all of the instructions, and think that I can do this over the weekend.

My head keeps having work thought pop in and out. I need to MERUS this note. I need to JCATS. I need to check the court minutes. I need to....

Stop. I just need to stop and to slice the salami. One piece at a time.

Slice the salami.

That's when I start making notes, so I can write it down and get thru what I'm doing and move onto the next thing. Whatever works for you. But glad you're taking a breath!
