Four-day Streak Despite...

Friday, March 22, 2013

...major stressors: up all night with sick puppy. My Peanut ate something that didn't agree with her, probably a rancid pecan she dug up from the squirrels' stashes and we played poop games all night. Then, I'm working on my April budget which is a chocolate initiative all by itself. Nearly finished with that. Now for 2012 IRS prep because I've got to make an appt. with the tax lady. Anyway, I squirted one shot of Hershey syrup in my coffee with some sugar-free cream and made a halfway decent mocha to start the day and satisfy the chocolate devil and I've had a pretty good day. After my planned evening meal I have about 12 calories left of my planned 1200.

With the lack of sleep, I decided to take a sick day at work but haven't taken a nap and now it is too late in the day. My girl is asleep and seems to be okay just not quite her usual active self. I think the tummy med slows her down a bit.

Anyway, that's my world and I hope you are having a great day!

I'm so sorry to hear about your little girl. I hope she is acting frisky tomorrow and her tummy is well. You dealt with your lack of sleep really well as when I don't get enough sleep that seems to be when I overeat, big time emoticon emoticon I'll have to try your chocolate drink as it sounds good and satisfying. . .if I eat too much chocolate it usually upsets my stomach but I still Love it in limited amounts. Enjoy your weekend and catch up on some sleep.

Hang on - this too will pass and you will feel so much stronger if you don't cave - PLAN a treat if you like but it is a great idea to postpone the treat when you are feeling stressed and weak. Plan it, savor the idea of it and then have it tomorrow or the next day if you still want it.

If I try to satisfy the chocolate devil, it just gets stronger and wants more chocolate. Lucky you that yours can be calmed with a taste.
