Boring turned good yesterday - nerves for tomorrow!

Friday, March 22, 2013

I didn’t get to blog yesterday. I had a VERY boring day at work with absolutely nothing to report. I was trying to come up with something cute but being slightly brains dead yesterday – cute wasn’t coming.

Then my buddy EvilCherub text-ed me. “Are we still going to Ladies Night?” Oh yeah – Fleet Feet by us was having a ladies night. She needed shoes and we thought we’d make a night of it. We had a blast, she got a great walking shoe, we had pineapple/mango smoothies, looked at summer gear (did I mention there were flurries outside), and finally we both got chair massages! OMG – that felt GOOOODDD!!!

Then we did a healthy dinner, I had eggs and grits due to the tooth problem and she did a grilled chicken salad. We ended up chatting away like to teens. It was really nice.

I got home and figured my steps were shot for the day. I mean, we wandered around the store but nothing MAJOR. I was at 8,500 – ok I’m NOT missing my 10,000 by under a mile. Hubby was already changed for the evening and relaxing. No problem, let’s go girls. Both dogs on hand leashes and no harnesses (I figured we were doing less than a mile). We ended up doing just over 2. They were having too much fun for me to take them straight home.

I got it and it was 10:30 – so this little black duck packed herself off to nigh-nigh-land. 4:45 comes early and it was after 11 before I actually climbed in bed. Hubby decided my Friday morning run wasn’t as important as some extra sleep. He re-set the alarm for 5:30 this am. I couldn’t get mad, 6 hours just isn’t enough for me anymore. So I ended up with almost 7. I’m a bit tired but not as bad as I should be.

Hubby has his first “real” gig tomorrow night doing stand up! I so hope it goes well. There will be a troop there with open spots for new individuals. He has always wanted to get into entertainment and they liked him enough to offer him a spot tomorrow night. Now it is up to delivery and the audience! I’m nervous for him.

Warm Wags!

You had girls night out twice. First with your two legged girl friend and then with your four legged girl friends.

    Good luck to hubby!

It really does sound like you ended the day well yesterday, and that little sleep just isn't enough for anyone to be at their best.

Let me know how Hubby does. Stand up is about all I listen to in my car, since I have satellite radio. I laugh myself all the way to work!
Sounds like a fun night out for you, then a run? You are the woman! emoticon emoticon

OMGosh that sounds so exciting!! I'm nervous for him too now. LOL Did you get any shoes? and yes, even my little pups have just had spring fever. I took Diogi out for a walk and ended up "running" with him more than anything. They all three had SO much energy. I must have given them a good walk as when we all got home they all passed out on the tile. LMAO

Sounds like a great girls night out. It is nice to sit and talk like school girls. I wish I had someone around that I could do that with.

Does hubby walk the dogs too, or do they always want Mommy ?

Hope things go well for him on his first "gig". I'll look for the blog.

I have always wanted to go to our Fleet Feet Ladies Night. Unfortunately, I missed our's for this year, but I'll watch for next year's. I love the store, but it's about an hour from my home, so I don't get there as often as I'd like. I'm glad you had fun!

Sending lots of good luck wishes to your husband on his stand up night. It sounds like so much fun, and I'm sure he will be emoticon
