Challenge on hold due to sickness...

Friday, March 22, 2013

This is going to be a venting blog... I'm trying out the BRAT diet for a couple days to see if I can kick this stomach thing. I will try and keep sugar at bay still, but, I'm not sure if I can... This is not fun, I just want this thing to go away! The worst part is it isn't a normal stomach bug where food sounds abhorrent and you "purge" everything. I just have the feeling of it in my stomach and some slight nausea.. It almost makes me want to eat to feel better. Comfort food is just calling my name. Potatoes and bread especially... Im trying to keep it to whole grain atleast. Then I wonder if the extra fiber is a good idea. Oh I just wish I could get back to normal! Hmph!

Im not usually such a baby when Im sick, but, this sickness is annoying. Its not a full blown couple days of horrible sickness, its a dragged out constant sick feeling that's been going on over a week! I'd really rather take the first option and get it over with already... Blah....

Actually I may be able to stay with the challenge. I just made some homemade chicken soup. Gonna add a lil brown rice or whole wheat pasta. Im gonna try to make my own applesauce without added sugar... we'll see how this goes....
